The Swiss media landscape is changing. The three big Swiss-German newspaper β NZZ, Tagesanzeiger and Blick β have changed their design in the last weeks, fighting bravely against falling revenues. But the problem is not the design, the problem lies deeper.
The Swiss, it is fair to say, have no abundance of jarring events in their history. As Orson Welles said in the movie βThe Third Man,β in centuries of brotherly love, democracy and peace, the Swiss produced only the cuckoo clock. Actually, the local residents even concede that invention to their neighbors across the border in Germany.
"Europe has set a mandate and is going to be interested in buying renewable energy," Al Gore said. "Even if electricity prices stay low, the market to sell renewable energy to Europe should be a very powerful incentive."
